Today, representatives from the Amity Fire Company conducted a detailed walkthrough of the H&K facility to familiarize first responders with the site layout, access points, and emergency protocols. The walkthrough was organized to strengthen coordination between the facility’s safety team and local emergency services, ensuring effective response in the event of a fire or other emergency situations.
The session began with a safety briefing and an overview of H&K’s operations, followed by a guided tour led by on-site personnel. Key areas of focus included:
Primary and secondary access routes Utility shutoff locations (electric, water) Hazardous material storage zones Hydrant locations and water supply availability Evacuation routes and assembly areas
Personnel took notes and asked site-specific questions to ensure thorough understanding of the layout and potential risks. The walkthrough also served as an opportunity to identify, equipment access, or emergency planning.
Both teams expressed appreciation for the opportunity to collaborate proactively and agreed to continue coordination through future training opportunities and drills.
Special thanks to the H&K staff for their time and preparedness in supporting this walkthrough |
